I grew up with very little, so hard work, resourcefulness and figuring things out were never abstract ideas—they were simply part of life. I was also fortunate to grow up during a generation when technology was beginning to accelerate. I remember Nintendo showing up and being completely hooked, not just on playing, but on the technology itself.
I was the kid who took things apart because I wanted to know what was inside, how it worked and whether I could put it back together. If something was broken, my instinct was to figure out why and see if I could make it work again.
One story from my grandmother has always stuck with me: when I was five or six, the refrigerator quit working. According to her, I went behind it with a screwdriver and somehow got it running again.
That instinct never really left. Today I still take things apart—sometimes literally, more often conceptually—to understand how they work, where the friction is and what could be simpler or better. I apply that same mindset to software, business, design, music, technology and life. If there is a clearer way to build something, explain something or help someone understand it, I want to find it.
This is more than a collection of pictures of me. It includes the people and moments that are part of my story—growing up, friends, work, my wife, my kids, family, and the years in between.
The titles are the easy part. The rest is a life built from movement, hard work, mistakes, rebuilding, curiosity, family and refusing to quit when something gets difficult.
I grew up mostly in Ohio and Alabama, but I moved around a lot. I spent time in Spain and Germany and have lived in nearly every state in the country. Constant change taught me how to adapt, meet different kinds of people and figure things out wherever I landed.
I was a wild, competitive kid. Sports were a big part of my life—football, wrestling, track and baseball—but so was learning anything I could get my hands on.
My first computer was an Apple II. I had already been fascinated by electronics and games, but when Windows 95 arrived, the web opened up a whole new world. GeoCities pulled me into web design, and around thirteen, programming stopped being something I played with and became something I genuinely loved.
That curiosity never went away. I still want to know what is behind the screen, how it works and what I can change to make it better.
Before software became such a major part of my life, I worked wherever I could. I built houses, painted, roofed, hung drywall, did brick work, worked at a mine in Georgia, worked factory and warehouse jobs including GE and Tree of Life, and spent time in fast food and gas stations.
The lesson stayed the same: whatever job is in front of you, do your best even when it feels unnoticed. At some point, somebody sees the work—and sees your worth.
There were years when I ran with the wrong crowd, made bad choices and spent time locked up. I did not have much direction, and for a while I lived like I could do whatever I wanted without caring where that road ended.
Losing my grandmother changed something in me. I realized I needed to become the man she tried to teach me to be instead of becoming the kind of man I had spent so much of my life resenting. That was not an overnight transformation, but it changed the direction.
I never had a real father in the way a kid should, so being one means something different to me. I want my kids to have the things I had to fight just to survive for. I want them to enjoy life, know love instead of hate, and never have to question whether their father cares about them.
I dreamed about having a family of my own for a long time, and it did not come easily. Now that I have one, I do not take it for granted. Without my family, I would not be where I am today.
Everybody has something that helps them clear their head. Some people hunt, fish, race, lift weights or disappear into a hobby for a while. Coding is that place for me. I genuinely enjoy solving the problem, building the thing and watching an idea become useful.
I probably work too much, but I also care about what the work can do for other people. I want successful systems to make somebody else's day easier, reduce frustration and give people better tools to do their jobs.
My music comes from things I have actually experienced—struggle, abuse, homelessness, survival, growing up without parents there the way I needed them, loss, loyalty, relationships, motivation and the fight to keep moving forward.
Sometimes a song can say something I have trouble saying in a normal conversation. That is part of why creating matters to me.
I love the outdoors, camping and exploring the world and its nature. Something a lot of people do not know about me is that I am a huge science nerd and nature lover. Gaming and streaming give me another kind of escape—relaxation, entertainment, competition and the chance to meet new people.
I am not always the best talker. Sometimes I say something one way while meaning something completely different, and it can come out wrong. The few people who truly know me usually understand where I am coming from. I would rather be honest about that than pretend I always say everything perfectly.
“If there is a negative, there is always a positive.” There is a solution to every problem. Let’s fix it.
After two heart attacks and a stroke, my priorities are pretty simple. I want to pay off my house, pay off my car, take my family to Disney, and know that no matter what happens to me, they will always have a home and something solid left behind.
I have already had more chapters than I expected. What I am trying to do now is keep working, keep building and give my family the security I spent so much of my own life trying to find.
Csyfer started as an online identity and grew into the place where all the things I build, play, design and create meet.

I’m driven by the next idea and the next problem to solve, but the work is only part of the story. Time away, new experiences and the people around me are what keep everything else in perspective.
And no matter how many things I build or how many titles get attached to my name, being a father comes first.
BuildSuite is an important part of what I do, but it is one chapter of the Csyfer story—not the definition of the whole person behind it.
BuildSuite began in 2017 as a Visual Basic 6 application, later evolved into C#, and eventually became a web-based platform. It has never been a one-and-done project. It has been refined year after year through real use, real business needs and the constant process of finding a better way to connect people, information and work.
Today, BuildSuite is much more than accounting, sales, customers, manufacturing or deliveries. It can be shaped around the business using it—from custom catalogs and retail pricing to PDFs, digital signatures, inventory, purchasing, production, scheduling, field workflows, reporting and more. The goal is simple: software tailored to your business, instead of forcing your business to adapt to the software.
